Make it Happen Monday- Be Thankful

Good Monday Morning Glamour Girls. This has been a long weekend for me with two snow days Thursday and Friday. Today is my first day back to work. This morning I just want to encourage you to be thankful and grateful for your job. I am truly thankful for my job and patiently waiting for this new position to be mine. It's easy to give up and lose hope on your dreams, but stay faithful to God and he will see you through. As I write this post this is not only to encourage you but it's to encourage myself as well. Sometimes we get to a point where we don't know where to turn, I was almost there but I was reminded to hold on to God's unchanging hand.

Psalms 107:1 - O give thanks unto the LORD, for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] forever.

Work with what you got- Spring Look Book

Hey Glamour Girls! I have created a Spring Look book with items from my closet.  It is Lent Season, and I decided to give up shopping. I know how could I do such a thing? I wanted to make a sacrifice that I thought would be impossible.  No lie this has been extremely hard. I have seen about 10 things I really need! I will make it until March 26, 2013. Trending Thursday-All White Everything

Hey Glamour Girls! It's trending Thursday one of my favorite days of the week, one day closer to Friday. All white everything is the newest trend for spring.  Black and white/ Monochrome are trending as well but all white is taking over. I love both trends but all white is so classic and chic. Wardrobe Wednesday-Cute and Cold

Good Afternoon Glamour Girls! Here in the Lou it’s COLD. It’s a huge challenge to be cute and cold in the winter. First of all it’s so cold that you don’t even want to get out of bed. Second you really don’t want to put any effort in your look because it’s so cold. And third all you’re thinking about is being warm. It does take a little more effort be cute in the winter compared to the summer, but don’t let the cold weather discourage you.  

To be cute in the winter I think you should have the following items in your wardrobe: long sleeve tops basic and graphic, a variety of print and solid scarfs, Boots both flat and wedge short or tall, Cardigans of any kind, Tights for your dresses and skirts, sweaters, of course a trendy coat and a nice pair of gloves.

 Check out my Outfit of the Day. Black jeans, black long sleeve top, boyfriend cardigan and brown boots.  P.S. its OK it layer it up ladies. Got a fitting turtleneck? Top it with a funky vest. I want to sell “EDUCATED GLAMOUR GIRL” T-shirts so I’m working on that. I want be the best teacher so, I’m always looking for ways to improve instruction. Teacher Moment Tuesday- Don't Believe the Hype

Hey Glamour Girls! Many of us are either done with school, almost done with school, or just about to get started. Some of us received scholarships, and grants but that was not enough to cover our school expenses.  So we were left with the options of paying for it out of pocket or taking out a student loan. Well if you had to take out a loan then you might owe Sallie Mae. I know so many young women and men who had to take out loans and now it’s time to pay them back. Don’t believe they won’t get their money, or the payments are too high, or nothing will happen if you don’t pay. Please contact your loan holders and workout a repayment plan. They will work with you. Don’t base your situation on anyone else’s but your own. Don’t believe the hype about not paying and nothing happening…think it’s a game it’s not.
